Overview
The Hallberg-Rassy 49 is an iconic bluewater cruising yacht, celebrated for its exceptional design, craftsmanship, and offshore capability. Built in 1984 by Hallberg-Rassy, “Caballa” represents the pinnacle of Swedish yacht-building expertise. She has been expertly maintained and thoughtfully upgraded, offering a rare opportunity for those seeking a dependable, comfortable, and capable vessel for extended voyages.
Designed by Olle Enderlein, this long-distance sailing yacht features a spacious interior, comfortably accommodating six with a forward cabin, aft cabin, and convertible saloon berths. Each cabin has it’s own heads with separate showers. Modern updates like Webasto diesel heating enhance her livability.
On deck, “Caballa” offers effortless sail handling with hydraulic in-mast furling, new main sail and genoa in 2018, and standing rigging replaced in 2016. Equipped with Lewmar winches, a Reckmann hydraulic furler, and a removable inner forestay and runners, she adapts easily to various sailing conditions and points of sail. Her reliable navigation systems, including Raymarine instruments updated in 2018 and 2023, ensure safe and efficient passage planning.
Powered by a Volvo Penta 150HP engine, she is both efficient and robust. The full hull re-epoxy treatment in 2016 underscores her durability. Additional features like a Fischer Panda generator, wind generator, and long-range tankage make her ideal for extended adventures.
Now berthed at Pendennis Marina, Falmouth, “Caballa” is ready for viewings, please contact our Falmouth office for further information.
